Jalespina Mexican Lager

Every May for the past couple of years, we’ve taken our Espina Mexican-Style Lager, (which happens to be one of the first four beers we ever brewed at Remedy!) and infused it with fresh Jalapenos to add a nice, authentic peppery flavor with just a kiss of heat. After hearing how much people missed this beer, we decided to take this fan favorite and can it up for you to take home and enjoy.

So, how did our infamous Espina Mexican Lager get its name? Traditionally, Mexican lagers are known for being light with just a kiss of hops and sometimes, an added wedge of lime. Being the kind of beer nerds we are, it made sense for us to brew this beer using the Citra hop, known for its citrusy characteristics, while also lending an ever so slightly hoppier bite than your traditional Mexican Lager. The result? A light lager with an added ‘prick’ of citrusy, hoppy flavor. Try this crowd favorite and let us know what you think!
